Free weeklong theater camp open to North Country kids ages 10-17

Applications due July 15

Applications are now open for North Country School’s Impact Theater Camp 2024, August 5-9, 2024, at the School’s Lake Placid campus. This transformative weeklong theater camp is available to all interested North Country children ages 10-17 and offers area youth an opportunity to explore their creativity, build confidence, and use their voices through the performing arts.

The camp is free of charge and lunch will be provided for all participants. Those interested should submit an application by July 15 online at https://forms.gle/tqxeDGtsJiDy8iw5A.

The camp is made possible with support from the Essex County Arts Council's Cultural Assistance Program Grant. This support ensures the program is accessible to all interested students from the region who have a passion for theater and storytelling. The camp aims to empower youth participants by providing a platform to create their own unique performance piece over the course of the week.

At the camp’s conclusion, participants will debut their performance for friends, family, and the public on Friday, August 9 at 7 pm in the WallyPAC’s Don Rand Theater. A reception will be held after the performance with an actor talkback.
