Come celebrate history at our town’s 52nd annual Essex Day celebration!
Join the Town of Essex for their annual community celebration on the first Saturday of August. The event features a town-wide yard sale and street party and is the perfect opportunity to experience what makes Essex so special.
The celebration takes place on Main Street in Downtown Essex, NY, and offers a wide variety of activities and attractions, including:
More than 40 artisan and craft vendors
Local shops and restaurants
Live music
Food trucks
A bounce house, face painting, and games

Enjoy refreshments at local restaurants: The Essex Ice Cream Cafe (open at 7am), The Essex Inn on the Adirondack Coast (open 11am - serving lobster rolls), The Old Dock Restaurant & Marina (open 11:30am), The Pink Pig Cafe (open at 8:30am)
Browse local shops: The Adirondack Art Association Gallery, Book and Leaf, The Neighborhood Nest , Pink Pig Cottage Antiques, Smiles Studio Arts

Live Music: Too Tall String Band (10am - noon), The Essex Theatre Company (12:30pm - 2pm) Made possible, in part, by the Essex County Arts Council's Cultural Assistance Program Grant with funding provided by Essex County.

Book Sale: Belden Noble Memorial Library will host their annual Essex Day book sale at the library from 10am - 4pm. After 3pm, fill a bag of books for just $5!
